I have a 2017 Kia Soul. Is it possible that my rims may get scratched or damaged using these? Do I just need a pair on the front since I have front wheel drive?

If you have tire size 235/45-18 on your 2017 Kia Soul, then the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains - 1 Pair # PW1042 will work for you. They are designed for there not to be much if any contact with the rims, however it is possible. These chains require rubber adjusters like the Glacier Multi-Arm Rubber Adjusters - Light-Truck Chains - 15" to 18" Rims - 1 Pair # PW105.
For a slightly nicer chain, I recommend the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link - 1 Pair # TC1553. These have the built in adjusters and coating or plastic wherever connections are made to decrease the amount of rim contact if any.
