Does Curt 2-Inch Hitch C13167 Fit with 17-Inch Spare Tire on 2017 Ford Transit Connect

Question:
I have a 2017 Ford Transit Connect with optional 17 inch wheels 16 inch are standard. Will the Curt #13167 class III hitch fit with my 17 inch spare? Is there enough clearance?

Curt's 2-inch Class III hitch model # C13167 offers no-drill installation on your 2017 Ford Transit Connect as shown in the linked video.
We here at etrailer have not yet had a local customer with your same vehicle/tires have this hitch installed, not has my technical contact at Curt seen this specific combination. Based on my and Curt's review of various other installation photos we both agreed that although we cannot give you a conclusive answer it does appear that there is just enough extra room for a larger spare to fit.
