Question:
No matter what trailer adapter I connect to my 2012 mercedes GL450 it triggers the lamp out indicators AND it also does not light up my LED trailer lights at all. I have even tried this adapter the TR20141 and it still does the same thing. The moment I plug this adapter in, the lamp out indicators light up and when I connect my trailer harness the lights dont come on at all. But when I use this adapter on my friends truck and my trailer it works fine. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Expert Reply:
The LED bulbs on your trailer draw very little power and the Lamp-Out sensor in your 2012 Mercedes-Benz GL450 sees this as a bulb that is about to go out. To solve this problem the # C35FR adapter has resistors to simulate more power draw which usually works.
The other solution is to install load resistors like # DI34ZR on the lighting circuits. Since the adpater didn't solve your problem you'll need to install the resistors.
