Does all of The Rhino Rack Measuring Strip # RRM641 Need to Be Installed in Crossbar
Published 06/21/2017 >
Question:
I cut the Rhino Rack Measuring Strip part # RRM641 wrong, and although Ive fixed the problem to make the bars fit my car, Im wondering if I need to put the remains of the measuring strip back in he channel? If I dont, will it make a lot of wind noise? Thanks!

I'd put the trimmed off portion of the # RRM641 back in the slot of the crossbar. Otherwise you'd most likely get a pretty loud whistle or howl on the highway. You can try without it but you are going to have a quieter ride with it installed.
