Expert Reply:
The wheel/tire you referenced, Westlake ST225/75R15 Radial Tire with 15-Inch Liger Aluminum Wheel # LH36FR, has a 6-on-5-1/2 wheel bolt pattern and carries a Load Range E weight rating. This wheel/tire combination can handle 2,830-lbs at its specified pressure of 80-psi. If your trailer is a tandem axle type then four of these wheels/tires will provide a nice weight safety margin, plenty for a GVW of 8000-lbs. This item is rated for driving speeds up to 75-mph.
A great feature of this product is the exceptional support from LionsHead. This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
Trailer tires should ALWAYS be inflated to their maximum cold psi pressure as noted on the tire sidewall; in this case 80-psi. It is never appropriate to under- or over-inflate a trailer tire.
