led in my 2017 Forester and removed the heat shield. Is this a problem that it wasnt re-installed?

When installing a trailer hitch receiver in a 2017 Subaru Forester the instructions for the hitch will tell you what to do with the heat shield. The Curt hitches # C12100 and # C13144 do not state the heat shield should be reinstalled where the Draw-Tite # 75876 and # 36523 require the heat shield to be modified but remain installed.
