Replacement Wheel and Tire Recommendation for 8.75R16.5 Trailer Wheel Tire Size
Published 05/10/2017 >
Question:
It is difficult finding replacement tires for my boat trailer. it has 8.75 r16.5 lt tires on in with 6 lug rims. The tires and rims came with my trailer when I bought it. They do not have a lot of clearance to fender. Im not really sure if they are the correct set up. They have worked well, just starting to show serious wear. A 16 inch tire combination seems to be bigger yet as I see those tires are like 30+ inches and mine I believe are 29. I see you sell 15 inch rims 6 lug with tires with Load E. would these work? My trailer is rated for 5200lb.

I have a great solution for you. The Lionshead Wheel and Tire part # LHAW124 is a Load Range E tire that is ST225/75R15 which has an overall diameter of 28.3 inches which would give you more clearance actually.
It also is on a wheel with a 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern like you need.
