What Size Tire Is A 8-14.5 and Can It Be Replaced with a Car Tire?
Question:
what size tire is a 8-14.5 , can you give me like a regular car tire #like 225R15 Thank you

An 8-14.5 tire is a metric sized tire that has a rim width range of 6 inches and an overall diameter of 27.7 inches. An 8-14.5 tire is normally seen on a motor home axle, which is designed for one time use only.
We have a good ply G rated tire to replace this is the # AM10327 it has a maximum capacity of 3,070lbs at 116psi.
Some trailers can use a light truck tire but you do not want to use a passenger vehicle tire. The problem is that passenger vehicle tires are not rated and constructed to handle vertical load like a trailer tire is. Trailer tires have a thicker side wall.
I have linked the above mentioned parts as well as some Help Articles to this page for your viewing and purchasing convenience.

Hey Darrel the 8-14.5 tires are an older size no longer used today. You would need to replace these along with the wheels in order to update them.
