An 8-14.5 tire is a metric sized tire that has a rim width range of 6 inches and an overall diameter of 27.7 inches. An 8-14.5 tire is normally seen on a motor home axle, which is designed for one time use only.

We have a good ply G rated tire to replace this is the # AM10327 it has a maximum capacity of 3,070lbs at 116psi.

Some trailers can use a light truck tire but you do not want to use a passenger vehicle tire. The problem is that passenger vehicle tires are not rated and constructed to handle vertical load like a trailer tire is. Trailer tires have a thicker side wall.

I have linked the above mentioned parts as well as some Help Articles to this page for your viewing and purchasing convenience.

I have 8 14.5 mobile home tires. I need 4- 8 14.5 tires to fit donut mobile home rim and they need to be highway rated. Only hauling side side so heavy ply not needed. What can you offer?

Definitely get rid of that mobile home tire and either go with the Kenda # AM10333 which is a load range F (2,835-lb at 100 psi per tire) or the Kenda # AM10289 which is a load range G (3,070-lb per tire at 116 psi). Since these have high psi ratings you also want to be sure that the valve stem on your trailer wheels is metal # AM20906.

@JonG I have a low boy trailer that I want to use for hauling on the side and the tires that are on it are mobile home 7-14.5 tires. What tire could I use that isn’t a mobile home tire or one time use tire?

@TerinM Mobile home tires are for one use only, so you will need to change those out. We do not have a 7-14.5 tire, but if you can provide me your bolt pattern I might have an alternative. I have attached a link showing how to measure the wheel bolt pattern.

Hey Darrel the 8-14.5 tires are an older size no longer used today. You would need to replace these along with the wheels in order to update them.

For a 225 R-15 tire, we have the Westlake ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire item # LHWL304. It is a load range E tire with a 2,830 lbs capacity. This tire is also available in a wheel tire combo with rims having a lug pattern of 6 on 5-1/2. It is the Westlake ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 15" Silver Mod Wheel item # LHAW124.
