Can Stromberg-Carlson Replacement RV Ladder Support Peg # 8531-B be Trimmed Down to 7 Inches

Question:
I need a tube length of approx 7 inches. Can this 12 inch tube be trimmed to fit my application?

You could trim down the Replacement Ladder Support Peg # 8531-B to 7 inches. You would want to remove the cap at the end and cut it to length from that end (the end that attaches to the ladder). Then you could put the cap back on.
