Question:
Original 3500# axles. Custom made trailer 20+ years old. Will a bit heaver spring fit - like the 5000# spring. I am in Afghanistan, trailer is in Arizona. The 25.125 eye to eye dimension looks to be common. Thanks

If the measurements on your trailer match the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring, part # e54SR or part # e28SR, they will bolt up to your trailer.
My contact informed me that the heavier 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring, part # e28SR will work, but it will give you a rougher ride. Also the weakest link on the trailer will be the 3,500 lb axles when using the 4,800 lb leaf springs.
It is recommended to use the Leaf Springs For 3,500 lb Axles, part # e54SR for your trailer with 3,500 pound axles.
Installing a larger capacity leaf spring like part # e28SR, will not increase the capacity of your trailer. You will want to stay within the weight capacity limitations of your trailer.
