I recommend the Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit, # HM56011. The Hopkins kit will allow you to hook into you 2017 Ford Edge's electrical system without cutting your OEM factory wiring.
The Hopkins kit is confirmed to fit the 2017 Edge, while the Roadmaster RM-766 in not a confirmed fit for the this vehicle's wiring.
You may also need to install the Brake Light Relay # RM-88400 with your supplemental braking.
