The Curt hitch part # C12152 that you referenced is a 100 percent confirmed fit for your 2016 Chevy Malibu Premier.
For trailer wiring you then would want the part # C56313 which is also a confirmed fit. For a ball mount you then would want the part # C45521. For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-82 or 1-7/8 inch # A-80.
