For your 2008 Jeep Commander, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2 inch # 13414. This hitch receiver installs with just 4 bolts and washers. It has a gloss black powder coat finish over a protective base coat for superior rust resistance.
For your trailer wiring, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118408. This harness connects to your factory wiring behind each of your tail lights. If your pop-up camper has trailer brakes, you will also need the Universal Wiring Kit For Brake Controller # ETBC7 along with a brake controller like # 90195.
For a ball mount, I recommend the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 5" Drop, 5-1/2" Rise - 10K - Black # BWTS10037B. This hitch will give you the rise or drop you need to tow your trailer level as well as has 2 hitch ball sizes to make proper connection easy. It also has a very cool stowable feature when not in use to protect your shins when loading or unloading cargo. It has a really nice clean look as well.
