Question:

I have 2016 Subaru Outback. Would I have to put snow cables on all 4 wheels? Or just cables for the fronts?

Expert Reply:

According to the 2016 Subaru Outback owner's manual, snow tire chains or cables need to be installed on the front wheels only.

The manual also states that if you decide to use snow chains or cables that you will have to use SAE Class S style devises. Class S chains or cables are designed to be used on vehicle's that have clearance issues between the wheel and the wheel well of the vehicle. The Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, # PW1046, is an example of a Class S style device that is mentioned in your Subaru's owner's manual.

If you decide to use chains and have not purchased any as of yet, feel free to contact us with your vehicles tire size so we can go over your options that will fit your vehicle.
