Question:

Thank you for your response and you mostly answered my question. The anzo tailgate spoiler has a 4 way plug with additional wire for back up lights. I want to be able to unplug the tailgate so as to remove it. So how would I handle the additional wire ? As soon as I get this answer I will place my order. ps- the cadilac hitch and wiring went great. Thanks again,

For a 4-way harness that will plug inline with the 7-way you have at the rear of your 2014 Chevy Silverado 2500HD you would want the Tekonsha part # 118384 which will do just that.

What you will want to do is convert the 4-ways to 5-ways so that you can carry the additional circuit and then also be able to easily disconnect. For the vehicle side 4-way you would want to it off and install the part # HM47900 and then on the light side you would to install the part # HM47910. The additional wire on the spoiler light would get ran to the 5th pin of the 5-way and the 5th pin of the vehicle side 5-way would get ran to a reverse light circuit.
