Can 90 Degree Fittings be Used in Place of Straight Fittings on Derale Oil Filter Relocation Kit
Updated 02/21/2017 | Published 02/20/2017 >
Question:
My installation of this would benefit from 90 degree elbows as opposed to the straight fittings provided for the top of the remote bracket, is this an acceptable modification to the fittings provided?

Expert Reply:
Provided that you use the same sized 90 degree fittings as the straight ones that come with remove mount oil filter kit # D15715 then it would not be an issue. You would not want to step down to a smaller size because that can have a negative impact on the oil pressure in the system.
