Question:
Trailer equalizers carry a full 2/3 the weight of the axle assembly. What is the weight rating difference between this and the equalizer TREQE34?
asked by: Matt
Expert Reply:
The weight of a trailer is transferred evenly by the equalizers to the suspension system(springs, shackles and hangers), and the equalizers do not have a weight capacity listed. The equalizer allows for a smooth transfer of impact caused by rough or bumpy roads.
The difference between part # TREQE34 and part # TREQE1 is the center hole with # TREQE1 having a 9/16 inch center hole and # TREQE34 having a 3/4-inch center hole. Both equalizers are designed to work with 1-3/4 inch double-eye leaf springs and both are 7-3/4 inches long.
