Is Adapter Available To Use Thule T2 Classic With 1-1/4 inch Shank In 2-inch Trailer Hitch Receiver

Question:

I have a 1 1/4inch Thule T2 Classic bike rack and need the right adapter for a 2inch hitch 2012 FJ Cruiser. Can you recommend one that will work?

I called my contact at Thule and they said there is no adapter available for your T2 Classic bike carrier. I asked about replacing the stinger for a 2-inch and they said that is not available for the T2 either. I wish I had better news but unfortunately there is not anything available to fit the T2 to a 2-inch receiver.

We do have adapters that will fit a 2-inch receiver and have a 1-1/4 inch receiver on the other end but Thule has not tested the adapters and you may risk voiding the warranty if you use one. The adapter we have is part # HT02. This measures 3-inches from center of pin hole to center of pin hole and the overall length is 7-inches.
