Looking at the installation instructions on the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, part # C55336, for your 2002 Honda CR-V, it appears that the wiring instructions will be the same for all CR-V vehicles from 2002 through 2006.

First you will locate the vehicle battery under the hood and disconnect the negative battery terminal. Then it's just a matter of locating the vehicle's taillight wiring connector to connect with the Curt Wiring Harness. For your Honda CR-V, this will be found behind the driver side trim panel at the rear of your vehicle. The vehicle harness will look very similar to the Curt T-Connector. You will just insert the Curt Wiring Harness into the vehicle connector and once installed, you will have a 4-way flat trailer connector to power your trailer's signal lights.
