The back of the Pollak 7-Way to 12 Volt Power Outlet Adapter, # PK11896, does accept the type of input that you would plug into a power port/cigarette lighter outlet. You will need to make sure that the 12-volt pin, located in the 1 o'clock position (if looking at the face of the 7-Way), is functional. Use a circuit tester, like # PTW2993, to test the pin. With the adapter plugged into the 7-Way, you will be able to plug in a 12-volt accessory.
