Question:
My parents had a Sidewinder hitch installed when they had a short bed truck, now they have a long bed truck, can they still use the sidewinder hitch or should it be replaced with standard kingpin?

Yes, Sidewinders are mainly designed for short bed trucks to give better cab clearance, but when used in a long bed truck they also allow the truck to track better behind the vehicle around corners and make the trailers easier to back up.

I am going from a 5.6 bed to a 8 ft bed. Which specs do I use to place my mounts? Do I use the 5.6ft specs or the 8ft bed specs?
