Question:
Will this reverse flow solenoid work in place of the UFP solenoid on a UFP actuator?

Expert Reply:
You could get the Demco lockout solenoid # DM5404 to fit the UFP coupler. But as far as whether or not it is the right type of solenoid is what you need to look at. This one is designed to route brake fluid back into the master cylinder via a second port in the master cylinder. If that is what your UFP has then you could use this solenoid just keep in mind that it has not been tested with other brands.
If your actuator does not use the bypass type of solenoid then you would use one like # DM11993. It just stops the flow of fluid when energized. But again it has only been tested with Demco actuators.
