Troubleshooting The Installation Of Draw-Tite # 75270 On 2008 Honda Odyssey
Updated 02/06/2017 | Published 02/04/2017 >
Question:
I just purchased the Drawtite hitch for our 2008 Honda Odyssey and one bolt hole does not line up . The passenger side front of the vehicle bolt is the culprit. With the fasteners loose and prying with a 2 foot pry bar I can just begin to see the bolt hole. I went ahead and tightened the 5 bolts down for right now, the hitch is on the vehicle. I will not pull a trailer until I hear from you. Thank you

This is not a normal fit for the Draw-Tite # 75270 on your 2008 Honda Odyssey. I reached out to my contact at the manufacturer and they said that is a big hitch and it can get tweaked side to side. If it is that side to side that isn't lining up, it sounds like it was tweaked. It should measure 53-1/8 inch center to center on those slots from side to side. If it was way out, it would most likely be a drop during shipping but is possibly a mis-drill, but it sounds really close.
To measure you probably will have to remove the hitch due to the trunk pan. You will want all 6 bolts installed and torqued to specs prior to pulling a trailer.
