Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Great product. This is the 2nd Hidden Hitch I have purchased. Quick delivery. Fair price. Very satisfied with etrailer.com.

by:

Great. Delivery was fast and correct. Hidden Hitch is great. Bike rack is what I expected. Thank you.

by:

The front bolt holes were slightly out of allignment, so had to remove the hitch and file and lengthen the holes 1/16th. After doing this everything lined up.
I installed a Hidden hitch when I bought my 2007 Honda Odyssey and It fit perfectly.
I had to do a little extra work this time but am happy with the results.

by:

The installation was very smooth about 45 minutes. The hidden hitch maybe a little short for easy access. My last hitch on my Honda came out further to the rear bumper which makes access easier.

by:

I purchased the Hidden Hitch receiver for my 2011 Odyssey and I am very pleased. I chose the free standard shipping option and received an email the following day saying etrailer was going to upgrade the shipping at no cost! I received the received within a few days of the order. Great service and followup. Would recommend purchasing from etrailer any time.

by:

Purchased a Hidden Hitch from eTrailer for a 2002 Honda Odyssey. From what I recall, it arrived on schedule with all the necessary parts. My mechanic was impressed at how easy it was to install and wire. It only took about an hour and a half for him to install.

by:

2003 Honda Odyssey - Fast shipping, 30 - 45min installation...Make sure to use WD40 and pre-thread bolts. Bottom line - I am completely satisfied with Hidden Hitch and etrailer.com.

  • Spacer Block and Bolt Size for Trailer Hitch 75270
The Draw-Tite Hitch # 75270 that you are installing on your 2008 Honda Odyssey uses M12 X 1.25 X 35mm bolts and 1/4“ X 1-1/2“ X 2” spacer blocks and you can get replacement hardware for this at part # RHK. We do not have these parts available individually but you should be able to source them at a local hardware or auto parts store.

  • Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendation for 2015 Honda Odyssey
For a trailer hitch for your 2015 Honda Odyssey we'd recommend the Draw Tite part # 75270 which is a confirmed fit and is a 2 inch hitch and has plenty of towing capacity for towing. I attached an install video for you to check out as well. For trailer wiring you'd then want the # 118521 which is a confirmed fit as well and is the most reliable option we have. I attached an install video for this for you to check out as well. Since you wanted to do some towing you might be interested...

  • Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack for 2008 Honda Odyssey
To start, I recommend using Draw-Tite hitch # 75270, which is a confirmed fit on your 2008 Honda Odyssey. This is a Class III, 2" hitch which is a complete bolt-on installation so no drilling into your Odyssey's frame will be required; I've added a link to a video of this hitch being installed on an '08 Odyssey for you to check out. As for a bike rack, I recommend the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 # HR1450Z, which uses padded hooks to grasp your bikes by the top tubes and adjustable...

  • Comparing Curt and Draw-Tite Trailer Hitches for a 2015 Honda Odyssey
Curt decided not to design hitch # C13068 to account for those welded on pieces you referenced in order to maximize the size of the side hitch brackets. As to why they chose to go with a 5 bolt design I can't say. The Draw-Tite hitch # 75270 sounds like it is what you would like more since it accounts for those welded on pieces and attaches in 6 places. If it were me I would go with Draw-Tite hitch # 76025 for the 2015 Honda Odyssey because with it only the receiver is visible. Installation...

  • Recommended Towing Set Up for 2017 Honda Odyssey Towing 2018 Airstream Sport 16
I took a look at the owner's manual of your 2017 Honda Odyssey and it mentions that with two passengers you can tow up to 3,500 lbs, which from my research looked to be the GVWR - or Gross Vehicle Weight Rating - of the 2018 Airstream Sport 16. With that in mind there are a number of components you will need, starting with a hitch. I recommend the Draw-Tite # 75270 for your Odyssey; it is a Class III hitch with a 2 inch receiver and 5,000 lb towing capacity which is more than enough for...

If the towing capacity in your Odyssey owner's manual is lower that the capacity of this hitch, tow according to the weight limits in your manual. For towing I recommend going with a Class III trailer hitch with a 2 inch receiver for your 2006 Honda Odyssey. The most popular option is Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 75270. I have linked a video showing an example installation. It is a very straight forward install so I am sure you can do it yourself at home. Since you plan on towing I also recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4...

With a hitch installed like the Draw Tite part # 75270 installed on your 2008 Honda Odyssey you would be able to install and use a motorcycle carrier like the part # e98873. • 2017 Honda Odyssey Rear Suspension Enhancement Recommendation
Best solution we have would be rear suspension enhancement for your 2017 Honda Odyssey. We have the Air Lift kit part # AL60815 which basically allows you to add air pressure to increase the suspension support as needed. Or we have the Timbren kit part # THROD2 which is also a fit. This gives you one amount of suspension support that will work well but is not adjustable. Advantage is that you don't have to maintain air pressure or run any air lines.

When we installed the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 75270 on a 2007 Honda Odyssey like yours it only had 5 inches from the center of the pin hole to the furthest part of the bumper. So this hitch would give you a little more clearance than the Curt hitch with the Yakima FullSwing Bike Rack part # Y02465 you are interested in. • Troubleshooting Bolts that Wont Thread into Vehicle Frame for Hitch Install
Before we determine that you have the wrong size install bolts you need to make sure that the bolts not fitting isn't due to the weld nuts of your vehicle being dirty/corroded and that is why they won't fit. Typically on vehicles that have seen a few winters the weldnuts can be a bit dirty/corroded so bolts will not just thread right into them. Check out the links I attached that detail how to clean the weld nuts.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for Carrying 4 Bike Rack with 2008 Honda Odyssey
There are Class II and Class III hitches available for your Odyssey. When the choice is available, I recommend going with the Class III, because there's a much better selection of hitch accessories like bike racks and cargo carriers available. There's not much in the way of a price differential between the two, so you might as well get the Class III. I'd recommend the Draw-Tite Class III, part # 75270. This hitch will be an excellent choice for a Thule 4-bike rack. I'll link you to the...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch And Bike Carrier For 2012 Honda Odyssey
I recommend using a trailer hitch and a hitch mounted bike rack on your Odyssey. Installing a trailer hitch can be used for bike carriers and cargo carriers as well. The trailer hitch I recommend for your Honda is the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch, part # 75270. This is a Class lll hitch and it has a 2-inch receiver opening. You do not have to have a roof rack of any kind for these racks to work. I have linked a couple of videos for these racks for you. If you don't mind adding a trailer hitch you could install # 75270 and use a hitch mount bike rack such as the Yakima FullSwing # Y02465. This bike rack will allow you to swing the rack...

  • Recommended Hitch for VelociRAX 5 Bike Rack on 2012 Honda Odyssey
From what little I was able to learn about the VelociRAX 5 bike rack on their website, the rack is compatible with a 2 inch hitch that has a tongue weight capacity of at least 500 lbs, and the Draw-Tite # 75270 Class III hitch meets both those parameters, so you're good there. However, might I make a suggestion? Instead of the # 75270, you might consider the # 76025 instead due to its greater ground clearance and because it isn't recessed under the vehicle as far. The hitch will be more...

Adding on a 350lb wheelchair and 55lb carrier # FHG67ZR is definitely going to have the suspension sag a bit.
