Backup Camera Recommendations for 4 Trucks that Tow Bumper Pull and Gooseneck Trailers
Published 02/02/2017 >
Question:
I work with a disaster relief organization and we have 4 trucks that are always pulling a trailer. We are looking for a backup camera system that would help with hooking up to both a bumper pull and a gooseneck trailer. We need this to be as inexpensive as possible but still be easy enough that I can do the install myself. What would you recommend?

One solution would be to use the Swift Hitch camera # 04928 which has a magnetic base so you can use the one camera for all 4 of the trucks and just move it from truck to truck and not have to worry about permanent installation.
If each truck needs its own camera then you could use 4 of # RA7710. These create their own WIFI signal that can then be picked up by a smart phone or device app. It works with iOS or Android devices.
Many of the other camera systems have permanent mount cameras so they would not be good for both bumper pull and gooseneck trailers; just one or the other. The above systems can be placed where they are needed and not permanently mounted which is ideal for your situation. I have linked video reviews of both systems for you.
