For a replacement trailer roof vent cover you will want to measure the vent itself. For selecting a new vent assembly to install in the trailer you will want to measure the dimensions of the roof opening.
Most often square-shape trailer roof vents are 14 x 14-inches in size and fit into a roof opening of 14-1/4 x 14-1/4-inches. Examples of this popular vent size are the Fan-Tastic Vent fan-powered vent # FV801250 and the non-powered Ventline # V2092SP-29.
When selecting just a replacement vent lid, you'll also want to note the type of hinge on the vent. There are three basic hinge types: 3-point, 4-point and continuous. I linked a photo to shows you all three types.
You can use the linked page to select either a replacement lid or a vent assembly; just click on the type of part you want. For just a lid click on that, then select the hinge type and color preferred.
