Recommended Hitch and Wiring Harness for a 2011 Cadillac DTS

To add a trailer hitch to your 2011 Cadillac DTS you will want the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch item # 36287. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Cadillac with included hardware.

This is a class II hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver. It has a 3,500 lbs towing capacity, and a 300 lbs maximum tongue weight. I checked with our vendors no one made a 2" class III hitch for your vehicle.

For a compatible wiring harness you will want the Tekonsha item # TK26VR. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your CTS's wiring harness, which is located inside your trunk, behind the tail lights

I have linked a couple of pictures below along with installation videos so you can see what this hitch looks like when installed and also how to connect the wiring harness.

If you are planning on towing you will also need the Draw-Tite Drawbar item # 3593 and then for hitch balls item # 19258 for a 2 inch ball or item # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch ball.
