Does this adapter work with the new 2017 Titan XD Diesel and the dealer installed gooseneck ball?

The Ranch Hitch part # AM3100 is designed to work with gooseneck hitch balls like what you have installed in the bed of your 2017 Nissan Titan XD. If your truck has a short bed it may not have enough clearance to make tight turns if the nose of your trailer is wide like most camper fifth wheels.
