5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter for 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500

Question:

I have a 2024 Silverado 2500 with the factory prep gooseneck. What product do you recommend to adapt my 5th wheel camper to a gooseneck. Camper weight 7500lbs and tounge weight 1200lbs. Thank you!

The Ranch Hitch Universal 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter # AM3100 you looked at is a good choice for an adapter. This will allow you to tow your 5th wheel with your 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500.

One of the best things about it is the remote coupler release which makes it easy to engage and release without climbing in and out of the truck. Keep in mind, this is designed to be used with a standard pin box. I recommend measuring just to be sure this will work for your application using the following steps:

1. Back your truck into position as if you were hooking up your fifth-wheel trailer, making sure that the truck and trailer are level.
2. Measure from the pin plate (the bottom of the pin box) down to the top of the ball in the bed of your truck.
3. The measurement should fall between 11-3/4" and 14-3/4". (The adapter is 11-3/4" tall when fully compressed and 14-3/4" tall when fully extended.)
