Which Lippert Cushioned Pin Box is Compatible with Demco Hijacker AutoSlide Fifth Wheel Hitches
Published 12/28/2016 >
Question:
I own a 2016 Jaco 37RLOK fifth wheel at 10,600 lbs. dry weight. It has a Lippert Pin box 1621 as stock. I am looking to upgrade to a Trailair Flex Air pin box rated at 18,000 lbspart#LC328492. My fifth wheel hitch in the truck is a Demco Hijacker Autoslide 18k above bed mount in a 2016 Silverado 2500HD. Is the Trailair Air Ride compatible with the Hijacker hitch?

Helpful Expert Reply:
You can use a Demco Hijacker with a Trailair pin box by Lippert but not with the Flex Air since the king pin plate is not compatible with the head of the Demco.
For a Trailair that would fit the 1621 pin box like what you referenced you would want the part # LC158778.
