Tire Chain Recommendation for Tire Size 285/65-18
Published 12/27/2016 >
Question:
I have a 2010 Toyota Tundra 4x4 with Nitto Trail Grappler M/T 285/65/18 tires. These are off road, deep lug tread type of tires. I need snow chains to travel in California/Nevada mountains. What tire size chains do I need to look for? I have been told that M/T off road tires need to go a size up in chain length, but is that a size up in width or sidewall? Which chains do you recommend? Thanks so much

For the tire size of 285/65-18 that you have the Titan Chains part # TC2533 would be a great option. These are a fit for your tire size and actually come in on the larger end of the fit spectrum for your tire size since tire chains are designed to fit several different sizes.
These chains are priced great, offer great traction, and are easy to install. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.
