The Roadmaster High-Low Hitch Adapter, part # RM-072-2, is a hitch adapter that is used for tow bars only. It is not to be used with any type of trailer. It is used to level the tow bar with the vehicle being towed. This adapter fits a 2 inch receiver and will give a 2 inch rise or drop. The overall length of the hitch adapter is 14-3/4 inches and the measurement from hitch pin hole to hitch pin hole is 10-1/4 inches. I am including a link to the tow bar hitch adapters with a 2 inch rise.

The hitch extensions that are made for trailer use will not have a rise or drop. They will just extend the hitch out from the hitch receiver from 7 inches to 18 inches. Also, using a hitch extender will reduce the overall weight capacity of the hitch by 50 percent. I am including a link to the hitch extenders that are available for a 2 inch hitch receiver.
