For your 2016 Toyota Tundra, some of the wiring is run for your vehicle even though you don't have the factory installed trailer package. We first need to get the Hopkins Plug in Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4 Pole Trailer Connector, # HM11141835. This will clip into place at the rear of the truck using the included dielectric grease. Then utilizing this 4-Way connection, we will need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires, # ETBC7. This kit will simply plug into your 4 way, and give you everything else you need to wire a brake controller. It comes with the wire, connectors, mount, and the circuit breakers you need. For a brake controller to allow you to tow a vehicle with trailer brakes, I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3, # 90195.
