Expert Reply:
The Curt Cargo Carrier, part # C-18145 has an overall capacity of 500 lb,s but this capacity will be limited by the tongue weight capacity of your Class I hitch. A class I hitch typically has a tongue weight capacity of 200 lbs, which means that the carrier itself and whatever is placed on it cannot weigh more than 200 lbs. Your hitch should have a sticker on it that will list its tongue weight capacity.
Please note that exceeding the tongue weight capacity of the hitch can result in damage to your hitch as well as the vehicle.
