We have two base plate options for your 2017 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk that are compatible with the Blue Ox Tow Bars with use of an adapter.

The baseplates we have for your vehicle are the Roadmaster EZ4 Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms, # RM-521446-4 or the Roadmaster EZ5 Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms, # RM-521446-5. However, neither option is a fit with Active Air Shutters. The EZ4 base plates are compatible with Blue Ox Tow Bars like the Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar - Motor Home Mount - 10,000 lbs, # BX7420, with use of the Blue Ox Tow Bar to Roadmaster Standard, EZ and XL Base Plates Adapter, # BX88178. The EZ5 base plates are compatible with the Blue Ox Tow bar listed above with the use of the Blue Ox Tow Bar to Roadmaster EZ5, MS, and MX Base Plates Adapter Brackets, # BX88185. For your wiring needs, I recommend the Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles, # HM56208. This is a simple plug in harness that will give you a 4-way flat connection at the front of your Trailhawk. If you have a 7-way on your RV, then I suggest the Hopkins Heavy-Duty Trailer Coiled Wire Adapter for 7-Way to 4-Wire Flat, # HM47065.

For your braking needs, I recommend the Blue Ox Patriot, Portable Braking System - Proportional, # BLU37TR. This system will require the use of the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles, # RM-88400, for your vehicle. This is an easy to install and remove braking system operates wirelessly. The brake pedal is clamped to with an actuator arm that will apply the brakes in the towed vehicle. I've attached an install video for you.
