Question:

I have a 1999 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Pickup that I will be using with my Rampage II. It sounds like it already comes with everything I need to mount, but in looking at these other comments it also looks like I may need to buy an extra mounting kit. Please advise. Thank you.

To mount the Detail K2 Rampage II Snowplow # K2RAMP8219 on your 1999 Toyota Tacoma 4X4 you will need the appropriate installation kit. That bracket kit part is # K285120.

Very often trucks that have a snow plow installed will benefit from some front-end suspension support to help offset the load from the plow's weight. Since the Rampage weighs in at 265-lbs you will certainly notice the stability benefits from a set of front jounce springs.

A kit like Timbren's # TTOFTUN4 will bolt on with no drilling, never requires any maintenance or adjustment and leaves the truck's ride unchanged unless you have the front-end loaded with the plow. When needed they'll provide progressive resistance to support the plow but will not otherwise change the truck's ride.
