Recommended Distance From Timbren Spring to Axle for Best Ride Quality

Question:
I have and 1 1/4inch between the axle and bottom of timbren suspension unloaded shouldnt it be a closer gap? 98 ford ranger xlt ext. cab two wheel drive.

Timbren likes to recommend 1 inch between the axle and the Timbren when the truck is unloaded. We have found that this works the best. Having 1-1/4 inches really is pretty close and would work just fine. If anything you will just have a smoother ride quality unloaded.
