Question:
I have a 2015 Nissan Xterra, and I have installed a 4 post trailer wire pigtail. The brake and turn signals are working, but no running lights. The pigtail I installed did not have any relays with it, could that be the problem?

The one missing running light relay is a common issue on certain Nissan vehicles. It is usually a missing relay in the in-cab fuse panel, the blue relay from the Curt Relay Kit # C57000, but you can check the owner's manual for all fuse and relay locations to verify.

I had the same problem and looked at all of the suggestions. Blown fuses relays like suggested above. I had a 2006 Xterra and all I needed was the 4 connector pigtail but when I used it on my 2015 Xterra the running lights wouldn't work. I found that this was the only thing that worked. Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Actually it was the relays and the associated wires in this set is what you need.
