Question:
My 2016 F250, 6.5 short bed does not have the factory towing prep package. I want an auto sliding fifth wheel hitch for towing my 35 foot trailer. Could you please recommend a complete hitch system with the auto slide feature? Thank you.

For an automatic sliding fifth wheel hitch I recommend the Demco Hijacker Autoslide # DM8550035 with the custom install kit # DM8552000-71. Or if you prefer a below bed option, # DM8550037 with custom install kit # DM8551000.
They're both designed specifically to work on short bed trucks and are confirmed to fit your 2016 Ford F-250 Super Duty with the 6-3/4 foot bed and no factory rail kit. They provide 14 inches of movement to help with turning clearance and the gross trailer weight is 21,000 pounds.
If you don't already have a wiring harness in your truck's bed you can use # DM8555002 to add one.
