Are Load Resistors Required When Installing LED Mini Utility Light For Lighting Running Boards
Updated 11/07/2016 | Published 11/05/2016 >
Question:
If I were to use 2 of these per door to act as exterior door convenience lighting/running board lighting, would a relay be necessary? Any additional information would be appreciated. Thank you.

You should not need load resistors when you install the Uni-Lite LED Mini Utility Light, part # UCL11CKB.
The biggest problem that requires load resistors is when incandescent bulbs are replaced with LEDs and the new lights do not draw enough power so the vehicle thinks there is a bulb out. This should not be the case when you are installing these mini lights.
