High Capacity Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2011 Ram 2500 with Factory Hitch

Question:
what hitch class v can I use on my 2011 ram 2500 with oem hitch already installed on it..i need at least 1500 tongue weight...I can remove my oem hitch and replace it..i dont want the hitch that goes beneath the stock one....looks funny...thanks....do you know what the tongue weight is on the oem hitch....it looks like it is all bolted on...not welded..

The only options we have for a Class V high capacity trailer hitch for your 2011 Dodge Ram 2500 are ones that are going to fit below the factory hitch.
Since the factory hitch is essentially part of the rear chassis of the truck it has to be left on. The most popular option is the Curt Hitch # C15409 which has a 2,550 lb tongue weight limit. I attached an install video for this hitch for you to check out as well.
