I like your trailer hitch for the 2014 Honda Accord. I dont think I have all the tools to put it up by myself. Do you actually to help to put it up? Or do you recommend a garage to do the job? Thanks!

The trailer hitch I recommend for your 2014 Honda Accord is the Curt, part # C11496.

This is a Class l trailer hitch and it has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. The installation instructions are attached and you can check them out to see if this is something you wish to do or if you want to have a trusted mechanic take care of it for you.

As far as installation, the tools you will need are Metal Shears, Lubricant or Soapy water, Die Grinder, Torque Wrench, and possibly a metal file. The torque wrench is important because the installation requires the bolts to be tightened to a specific torque. This is done to make certain the hitch is secure and safe. Most local auto parts stores will rent or loan a torque wrench if you do not have one available.

If you plan on towing I recommend a ball mount like part # C45521. This ball mount has a 2-5/8 inch rise or 3-1/4 inch drop. For a hitch ball I recommend part # A-82 for a 2-inch ball or part # A-80 for a 1-7/8 inch.

If you need trailer wiring I recommend part # 118596 if your Accord does not have LED tail lights.

If you do have LED tail lights the wiring harness I recommend is part # C56173.
