Question:
I have a 14, 2 horse trailer with a 17inch level coupler. My lowered 2015 Ford F150 2x needs a 6 inch rise to be level with the ball. Are there safety issues using a properly rated raised mount for this kind of towing? Sincerely

Expert Reply:
Using a 6 inch rise ball mount does not cause any safety issues. If anything using the correct rise ball mount allows you to prevent the biggest safety issue which is towing an unlevel trailer.
The Curt ball mount part # C45100 would work well for you as it has a 6-1/4 inch rise.
For a 2 inch ball we have the part # 63845 and then for a 2-5/16 inch ball we have the part # 63847.
