Question:
My 2013 4Runner SR5 will be used to tow a 2300lb empty to 5000lb loaded trailer for on-highway towing. We will also use this vehicle for occasional off road use without towing the trailer. Which Timbren System would give me the most benefit? Does the Active-Off Road System do everything the Enhancement System does and more? I have watched videos, read product descriptions and dont know what to buy for my dual use application. 2013 Toyota 4Runner Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System Code: TTORSEQ or Timbren Active Off-Road Bumpstops - Rear Suspension - 2,000 lbs Code: TABSTORSEQ

If you are planning on off-road travel with your 4Runner, I recommend the Timbren Active Off-Road Bumpstops, part # TABSTORSEQ.
These are designed to cushion the ride of your truck and absorb the shock when bottoming out when you are off-road as you said or when there is a load on the rear of your truck. When you install the Timbrens, the instructions state you want between 1/2 to 1-1/2 inches of clearance between the rubber spring and the contact point on your truck. This means you will not effect the ride when the truck is empty. As more weight is added to the rear of the truck the springs cushion the load and help reduce the hard jarring or bouncing you may get with factory bump stops. The # TABSTORSEQ has a 2,000-lb capacity and will not increase the load-carrying capacity of your truck.
The # TTORSEQ Timbren system has a 6,000-lb capacity and becomes more rigid when placed under a heavy load. This system is designed to be used primarily when you are placing heavier loads on the back of your truck.
I recommend going with the # TABSTORSEQ that is designed to help smooth out the ride of your truck when off-road, and will also help when towing and adding weight to the rear of your truck.
