Wider Tire Recommendation to Replace 4.80-12 Tire Size

Question:
I have a aluminum trailer for a hobie cat that has Load star 4.80-12 wheels on it. I want to replace them with another wider tire to tow on soft sand. Do you have a suggestion? Similar diameter, wider tire would seem to work if the axel can reach far enough beyond the trailer frame to the tire hub. thank you

The widest tire we offer that will fit the same rim as your 4.80-12 tires is going to be a ST145/R12 tire like part # AM10140 which has a section width of 5.7 inches. Overall diameter would be increased by less than an inch.
This will give you a tire that is .8 inches wider.
