Question:

Hi, I would like to install a 7 pole adapter on my 2011 MDX, I already have a 4 pole installed. Will this kit work? If not, what can I use?

Although # 118265 is confirmed fit for a 2012 - 2015 Honda Pilot, it is not confirmed for your 2011 Acura MDX. The best option for your MDX would be the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires # ETBC7. Unfortunately, there are no plug-in style 7-way harnesses for the MDX. This kit works with vehicles that already have a 4-Way flat and includes all the additional parts needed for installation. To help prevent electrical failures and corrosion, I would also pick up some Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors # 11755.

If you need a brake controller, I would go with the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 because of the LCD display, continuous diagnostics and battery protection. However, if you're looking for a more cost effective option, I recommend the Tekonsha PowerTrac because it's easy to use and install.
