Question:

I have a 2006 Scion XB that I want to add a bike rack to and use the 1.25 hitch we have attached. Will the Swagman Bicycle Carriers Chinook 2 Carrier Platform Hitch Rack work on my car? Also, will my husbands Townie Electra cruiser need a bar adapter, too? Thank you.

The Swagman Chinook 2 Bike Platform Rack # S64683 will fit your Draw-Tite Invisi-Hitch 1-1/4 inch that you have installed on your 2006 Scion xB if you already have the discontinued adapter. If you do not, then you will need to replace your hitch with # C11487.

Some of the Townie Electra cruisers have a very low top tube. If your husband happens to have one of those the adapter bar like part # UB01 would be very helpful to stabilize the ride on your Swagman Chinook rack # S64683.

Will the Swagman Chinook 2 bike rack work on my 1.25 inch class 1 hitch (C11487) on my Scion xB 2006? Will it carry 50lb ebike & 30 lb bike?

The Swagman Chinook # S64683 is compatible with the Class I Curt Hitch # C11487 you have installed on your 2006 Scion xB and it has a max weight rating of 45 lbs per bike. If you remove the battery from your 50 lb bike that should put you under the 45 lb weight limit and you'd be able to safely carry both bikes!
