The amount of time you'll need to run your Kat's Cartridge Style Engine Block Heater # KH11814 varies from vehicle to vehicle. However, 3 to 4 hours before starting your 2016 Ram 1500 is pretty standard.
The Kat's Handi-Heat Magnetic Heater # KH1155 for the oil pan is basically the same. However, it does have an automatic shut off at 275 degrees.
