Question:

Presently, we are using the Yakima SweetRoll Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs - Saddle Style - Rear Loading with a 58 inch long round bar to load our kayaks which works fine. However, we have now bought a tandem kayak which is quite difficult to load / unload. Question – would be possible / acceptable to move the SweetRoll combination pad / roller to the front and install the Yakima HullyRoller Roof Rack Kayak Carrier - 1/2 System on the rear to make it easier to load / unload. Note: we would just keep the pad as a spare?

There's no reason you couldn't use the 1/2 kit for the HandRoll part # Y04082 with the roller section of the SweetRoll part # Y04074. Realistically it wouldn't help that much since the rollers of the # Y04074 are recessed and designed to engage more when the kayak is angled up like if it was at the back of a roof rack and the kayak was riding up it.
