Can Thule Xsporter Install on Bed Rails With Covers

Question:
Do I install over the manufacture plastic side bed rail covers that came on truck? Or do they come off and apply directly to metal body?

The bed rail covers of your 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 can be left on when you install the Thule Xsporter part # TH500XT that you referenced.
If you check out the install video I attached that also shows a 2016 Silverado you can see the covers are left on the bed rails.
